The Bloom Chair is somewhere between object and furniture, with both the form and construction exploring how nature experiences an arrival, or, a blooming. A thin metal frame made of solid round steel supports the hefty concrete plinths, similar to how a slender stem supports a budding flower. The hardness of these materials act as a direct contradiction to this soft event of blooming, which is reserved solely for the delicate animate objects in nature.
